Working Animals

Working Animals es un proyecto que transcienda la fotografía , la estética y el arte.

Es un canto que honra a todos los animales que han puesto su vida al servicio del hombre y una  llamada esperanzada por un mundo unificado donde se reconoce la dependencia del hombre, inmerso en la cadena trófica que regula la vida.

Es sabido que empezamos a hacer uso de los animales por su carne, pero no esta claro en que momento se paso a domesticarlos para más tarde  hacerles trabajar para las personas.Es momento de poner atención a estos animales que desde entonces han estado a nuestro servicio.

Se estima que hay 300 millones de animales trabajando como transporte  y  apoyo en las labores del campo.  En estas cifras no se contemplan a  los animales que se crían para el consumo humano. Solo en  gallinas estaríamos hablando de 50 billones por año sacrificadas para alimentar a la población.

Antes de la era industrial y la explotación de fósiles,  las civilizaciones dependían del músculo humano y la fuerza de los animales. En el proceso de industrialización  y modernización no hemos sabido reconocer  la interrelación entre hombre, animal y naturaleza.

La fuerza animales es clave en el transporte y producción de sustento especialmente en territorios no industrializados  ya que son parte de la economía de muchos países. Es por ello que hemos de identificar y reconocer su existencia para garantizar unos mínimos en ámbitos de salud y protección de sus derechos, ademas de regularizarlos para que se cumplan unos estándares de dignidad y calidad de vida.  

Es momento de dar voz al colectivo de animales trabajadores, tomar medidas y generar comportamientos basados en la conciencia y el reconocimiento. La legislación ha de evolucionar desde el paradigma de la ingeniera basada en lo agrícola, y explorar una visión más profunda donde se investigue la dependencia y apoyo de los animales desde una ética y moral consciente de lo que realizan por las personas. Reconocer a estos seres y sensibilizar nuestros corazones para agradecerles todo lo que han hecho a lo largo de la historia y hacen en el presente para que nosotros estemos donde estamos. Se lo debemos.

Working Animals is a project that transcends photography, aesthetics and art.

It is a song that honors all the animals that have put their lives at the service of man and a hopeful call for a unified world where the dependence of man is recognized, immersed in the trophic chain that regulates life.

It is known that we began to use animals for their meat, but it is not clear when it was time to domesticate them and later make them work for people. It is time to pay attention to these animals that have been at our service ever since. .

It is estimated that there are 300 million animals working as transport and support in the field work. These figures do not include animals that are raised for human consumption. Only in chickens we would be talking about 50 billion per year slaughtered to feed the population.

Before the industrial age and the exploitation of fossils, civilizations depended on human muscle and the strength of animals. In the process of industrialization and modernization we have failed to recognize the interrelation between man, animal and nature.

Animal power is key in the transport and production of livelihoods especially in non-industrialized territories since they are part of the economy of many countries. That is why we have to identify and acknowledge their existence to guarantee minimum standards in health and protection of their rights, in addition to regularizing them so that standards of dignity and quality of life are met.

It is time to give a voice to the collective of working animals, take action and generate behaviors based on awareness and recognition. The legislation must evolve from the paradigm of engineering based on agriculture, and explore a deeper vision where the dependence and support of animals is investigated from an ethical and moral conscious of what they do for people. Recognize these beings and sensitize our hearts to thank them for everything they have done throughout history and do in the present so that we are where we are.

We owe it to them.
